Ira R. Carter died at his home in Oxford about midnight, Monday, May 6, of malarial fever, contracted while attending other members of the family at Ravenna, Ohio, who were ill with the same disease. Deceased had been home from Ohio only a few days, returning quite ill, and fully convinced that he would never recover. He is the fourth member of the family to die within the past six weeks. The funeral occurred Wednesday and was largely attended for deceased was widely known and highly esteemed by his friends and neighbors. After the funeral A. S. and Jule Carter started with the remains for Ravenna, Ohio, their old home, there to lay them to rest in the family burial ground. Deceased leaves a second wife and a son, Ira R.
