Jackson Sentinel, Maquoketa, Iowa, December 21, 1893

DIED-

SIMPSON-At the home of her son, A. P. Simpson, in this city, Dec. 16, 1893, of general debility, Mrs. Lovina Simpson, aged 81 years, 3 months, 21 days.

Born in Batavia, New York, August 26, 1812, she removed with her parents to Warren County in her girlhood. There in 1828, she was married to Geo. D. Simpson and remained there until 1868, when they came west to Maquoketa.

To them were born ten children, six of whom survive her. They are Mrs. Amy Shields, of Glen Falls, New York, Mrs. M. J. Jenkins of this city, Mrs. J. L. Jenkins of Central City, Iowa, A. P. Simpson, this city, Henry L. Simpson, Spencer, Iowa and Mrs. W. W. Brown of Minneapolis.

The funeral occurred at 2:00 p.m., the services being conducted by Rev. F. M. Archer, of the Baptist Church.
