DIED-

B. F. Van Horn, an old settler of Jackson County, died at the home of his brother, at Osceola, Nebraska, last Friday afternoon, Sept. 22. Mr. Van Horn was born 59 years ago in Columbiana County, Ohio, and came to Jackson County with his parents in 1840. At the time of his death his home was on his farm about six miles south of this city. Deceased was a veteran of the late war, having been a member of Company I, 5th Iowa Infantry.
