Death entered the home of Mr. Walter Benjamin on Thursday afternoon and removed Mrs. Mary Morse, mother of Mrs. Benjamin, and on Friday night Mr. Joseph Benjamin, Mr. Benjamin’s father, also passed away. Both have been great, though heroic sufferers for several months and welcomed a release. The funeral services of Mrs. Morse, on Saturday, conducted by Rev. Oadams, pastor of the Congregational Church of Maquoketa, and those of Mr. Benjamin on Sunday by Rev. J. N. Faucett, were largely attended.
