Bellevue Herald, November 14, 1899.

Mrs. D. M. Fiske-

The following notice of death of Mrs. D. M. Fiske is taken from the Galena Gazette. Mrs Fiske in her younger days, was a resident of Bellevue, her maiden name being Nettie Smith. She was a daughter of the late Mrs. Pearce, who died but a short time ago at Council Bluffs. Ellis Pearce of this city is the half brother of the deceased. Mrs. Fiske had numerous friends here who will regret to hear of her demise.

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Fiske, of this city, received notice Friday afternoon of the death of Mrs. D. M. Fiske at the family residence at Council Bluffs, Iowa. The remains arrived here shortly before noon Monday, and were taken directly to Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, where burial services were held and interment was made. The remains were accompanied here by the bereaved husband and a sister, Mrs. Stephen Fiske, of this city. Mrs. Fiske had been in poor health for some time, but the announcement of her demise was received here last Saturday with marked surprise by her many friends. She was a most estimable woman, generous and good natured and she will be greatly missed by those who have known her in life. The deceased lady was a frequent visitor to Galena and was well known here. She is survived by her husband, who is a brother of Stephen Fiske and is a conductor on the C. M. & St. P. railroad. No children were born to them.
