MINNIE WRIGHT JACOBSEN

Dies in hospital; Services Thursday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Wright Jacobsen, 80, a life-long Jackson County resident who died late Monday at the Jackson County Public Hospital here, were held Thursday at 1:30 p.m., in the Haylock-O’Hara Funeral Home. The Rev. M. H. Nothdurft, pastor of the Maquoketa Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Minnie Glaser was born November 29, 1879, at Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Chris Glaser and Hannah Blessing Glaser. She attended the Maquoketa Public schools and was a long-time member of the Pythian Sisters.

Amomg her survivors are a daughter, Mrs. C. C. (Wilma) Bowman of Maquoketa; a son Johnny Wright, also of Maquoketa; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Reel of Maquoketa; and a brother, Will Glaser of Elmcreek, Nebraska. Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
