CORONER’S INQUEST

An Inquest was held on the 22nd day of November, 1855, on the road from Centre Grove to Catfish, near Mr. Kennedy’s, upon the body of Patrick McCabe, about five feet eight inches tall, auburn hair, small red whiskers, dressed in a black coat, tight blue vest, a comfort and green gingham handkerchief round his neck, a hickory undershirt, and a check over shirt, greenish pants, denim drawers, old woolen socks, old shoes, a straw hat, a red cotton pocket handkerchief, a pocket knife, black horn handle, and $78.00 in cash and paper money, and other papers, according to which he must belong to Jackson county.
