DIED-

NICKERSON-At his home three miles west of this city, Monday evening April 25th, 1881, Tartellus Nickerson, aged nearly eighty-seven years.

Mr. Nickerson was born at Manchester, Vermont, May 18th, 1794. In 1816 he married, and his wife, with whom he had lived sixty-five years, still survives. She was born June 22nd, 1794, hence was only one month younger than her husband. Mr. Nickerson and his family came to Iowa in 1848 and have resided here since that time. Four children survive, three daughters and Mr. T. K. Nickerson, all middle aged people. A good man, at a ripe old age has gone to a better life. A life long work is accomplished and the reward awaits on the other shore.
