At her home in Baldwin, Miss J. Maria Teeple, a well known and respected woman of this vicinity, passed away Monday after an illness of several days with blood poison. Some time ago Miss Teeple stepped on a rusty nail, the wound becoming infected, resulting in poisoning and causing her death.
Deceased was born in Clinton county October 19, 1860, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Teeple, pioneers of this county, and had spent her entire life in the Baldwin community. The funeral will be held from the home Wednesday and interment will be made in the Smithtown cemetery.
