Jackson Sentinel, March 3, 1881.

We learn from the Dubuque Herald that J. C. Coulahan, an old settler of Bellevue, died on Sunday evening last at 9 o’clock, aged 72 years. He was well known to the citizens of that town and surrounding country as a merchant, having for many years conducted a store which had a large trade. Of late failing health forced him to give up active business pursuits. He was a man of sterling worth, strictly honest and conscientious in all his dealings and will be missed by a whole circle of friends outside of his family relatives.
