Sudden Death – Andy Smith, Jr. aged 27, died very suddenly at the residence of Israel Davis, in Iowa township, last Tuesday morning. The deceased was well on retiring Monday night, but during the night awoke a young man named Wentworth, with whom he was sleeping, and asked him to bring him a drink of water, saying that he was sick, that he had had a severe chill, and that the chills and fever, with which he was afflicted a short time before, had returned. After drinking the water, he was quiet until in the morning, after the family were up, when he groaned and appeared to be suffering, and a messenger was dispatched to Sterling, the nearest point, for medical aid, but before assistance arrived he had breathed his last.
