MONMOUTH-

Death of Bridget Lamey, aged 92 years.

Monmouth, Feb. 21, 1886.

Mrs. Bridget Lamey, of whom we spoke in our last items as being quite ill, died at her home one and one-half miles west of this place last Saturday, the 20th inst. From what we learn, Mrs. Lamey was a native of Ireland, having emigrated to America many years ago and was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She was the mother of nine children, two of whom are residents of this vicinity and are prosperous farmers. Mrs Lamey had reached the remarkable old age of four score and twelve, (92 years), having outlived her husband by several years. The old lady up to the time of her death could walk to Baldwin and return, a distance of seven miles the same day, and always chose to walk rather than ride. The remains were laid to rest in the (Holy Trinity) Catholic Cemetery at Baldwin last Monday.
