Mrs. A. N. Smith, formerly Dean, died at her home in Pawnee, Oklahoma Territory, September 20, from congestion of the brain. Deceased was about 79 years of age and one of the pioneer residents of this city. Her daughter, Mrs. Benj. VanSteenburg, and husband, of Preston, went to Pawnee to attend the funeral.
