Mrs. Harry Becker Funeral Is Today
Mrs. Harry Becker, 66, of Maquoketa died Tuesday morning in her home. Last rites will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Haylock-O'Hara funeral home. The Rev. Bruce S. Dean, pastor of the First Congregational church will officate. Burial will be made in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Becer was born Wealthy Elizabeth Potter Oct. 1, 1887, in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Nathan and Sarah Smith Potter. On Aug. 26, 1918, she was married in Galena, Ill, to Harry Becker, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Addie Mae Maiolfi of Torrence, Caif; her step-mother, Mrs. Anna Potter; a sister Mrs. Mary Waggoner of Santa Cruz, Calif.; five half sisters, Mable Toole in Wisconsin, Edith Ralston, Port Angels, Wash., Maude Knight of Welton and Viola Watters and Sarah Moore, both of Maquoketa; and seven half brothers, Peter Barnes of California and William, Peter, James, George, Louis and Ray Potter, all of Maquoketa. Three grandchildren also survive.
A brother, a sister and two half sisters preceded her in death.
