Amy Smith-

Miss Amy Smith, who has been working for Henry Ryan's the past year and a half, committed suicide Sunday forenoon in her room at Ryan's by shooting herself with a .38 calibre revolver in the forehead. She did her work as usual and after finishing her work she went to her room to get ready to go home to spend Sunday. She not coming down after quite a time, the members of the family thought it queer and Mrs. Ryan went up and found her lying dead upon the bed with the revolver in her hand. Coroner Ritter was called, but deemed it unnecessary to hold an inquest. She left a letter, but no cause is known for the rash act. Funeral is held today from Henry Ryan's. Burial at Union Center cemetery.
