DIED-

POTTER-In Wyoming township, on the 4th inst., at the residence of James Potter, deceased. Nathan Potter, aged 83 years, nine months, and six days.

The deceased was born in Baltimore, October 29th, 1795. His parents moved to Virginia when he was six years old, and from thence to Ohio when he was in his tenth year: here he attained his manhood and was married to Miss Fannie Duel. In 1844 he moved with his family to Iowa. He served for a number of years in this county as a Justice of the Peace. The first Territorial Convention in this county for electing commissioners to frame the first Constitution of Iowa was held at his house.-Wyoming Journal.
