DIED-

SUSAN DUNHAM died at her home on East Pleasant Street, this city, October 14, 1891, aged 72 years, 10 months and 14 days. Deceased was born in Sharpesville, Pa. She was one of the oldest settlers of Jackson county, having removed to this state in 1851, where she has since resided. For the past seven years she had been afflicted with a cancer from which she no doubt suffered more than anyone was aware of, as she had trained herself to self-fogetfulness in service to others. It was her special delight to nurse the sick and comfort the sorrowing. Ten years ago she buried her husband and two daughters had also been consigned to the tomb. Of these sore trials she never once spoke to her pastor, but often referred to her blessings above those so many others had. Her Christian experience had ripened into such sweet resignation and perfect trust that she desired to "depart and be with Christ which is far better." She had been for years an active honored member of the Baptist church. Two sons and four daughters survive with a host of friends to mourn her death. A devoted mother, a kind neighbor and a consistent Christian has been called to a better home.
