DIED

In this city, at the residence of R. C. Westbrook, on Wednesday, July 23rd,1873, Mr. George J. McGhee, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGhee.
The deceased was a young man of exemplary habits, fine attainments, and beloved by all who knew him. He was an affectionate son, a warm friend, and consistent and honorable companion. His sickness was long and painful, and everything was done that love or affection could suggest for his recovery, but all in vain. Peacefully he sank to rest and yesterday was buried at Savanna, Illinois, in the presence of a large circle of mourning relation and friends.
