Obituary

Sara Maritta Risinger was born in Jackson Co., Feb. 20, 1878. She was the oldest daughter of Seth Edwin Risinger. At nine years of age she was left with the responsibility of the home. She was married to Robert Lawrence Gibson, March 21, 1900 and to them were born four children: Emma B. age 18, Arthur R. age 16, Mable Maritta, 12 and Robert A., 9 years.

Two sisters, Nettie Gibson of Pennsylvania and Hattie Dunn of Delta, Ia., and three brothers, Edwin, James and Ernest Risinger, all of Jackson Co.

She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. A patient sufferer during her illness. She united with the Presbyterian church at Andrew in 1900, to which she was a faithful member to the end, always manifesting in her God His promises. She passed peacefully away just at the dawn of day, Feb. 5, 1920, being 41 years, 11 months and 15 days of age.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating. Burial took place at the Andrew cemetery.
