Maquoketa Excelsior, September 25, 1873.

DIED

DEAN- In this city, on Monday, Sept. 23, 1873, Lester Dean, aged 42 years and 28 days.

Mr. Dean was born in Lafayette, Onondaga county, New York, but while young removed to Hinkley, Medina county, Ohio, from whence he came to Maquoketa in 1859. He was a man much respected, and during his long painful illness has had the sympathy of all. He left a wife and two daughters weeping the loss of husband and father.
