CHAPMAN-Freeman Chapman was born August 4, 1804, in Caldwell, Warren County, New York, and was married March 19, 1835. He removed from his native state to Iowa in May 1863, and died September 29, 1872, aged 68 years, 1 month and 25 days.

The above was a member of the Baptist Church of this city. I visited him during his sickness and found him with a well grounded hope in Church. His funeral at the Union Church yesterday was largely attended. Blessed are the dead who die in the lord.
