NALLEY. Miss Bernice Nalley, the 16 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Nalley, died Friday, March 3rd, at the Lady of Angels Seminary, Lyons, Iowa, after an illness of only four days of rheumatism. She had been a student in the Seminary for about six weeks and enjoyed her work greatly. She was a young lady of great refinement and possessed an amiable disposition which made for her many dear friends during her brief time in Lyons. She was born in Jackson county, August 6, 1895, and before going to Lyons was a student in the Maquoketa High school where she also made many friends who mourn her untimely demise. The remains of this young lady were shipped to Maquoketa, Friday evening, and taken to the home of her parents east of town, where on Monday morning at 9 o’clock a brief service was held and 11 o’clock from Sacred Heart church. High mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Bowen. She is survived by a father, mother and three sisters, Mrs. Getz of Cedar Rapids, Marie of Plankinton, S. D., Sarah at home, and eight brothers, Richard and Will of Chicago, John, Joe, Jake, Frank, Walter and Myron at home. The following relatives and friends from a distance were in attendance at the funeral: Mrs. Anna Getz of Cedar Rapids, Miss Marie from Plankinton, S. D., Will and Richard from Chicago, John Ryan and daughter Miss Sarah of Bernard, Edward Roan and two sons Willard and Edward of LaMotte.

The pall bearers were Will McCaffrey, Alfred Budde, Will Chrisler, Frank Hamilton, James Stokesberry and Will Burke.
