CRANE-In South Fork Township, Jackson County, Iowa, March 7th, 1872, of spotted fever, Frank H. Crane, aged sixteen years, eleven months and twelve days.
The deceased was a young man of promise, possessing a brilliant mind, a kind and gentle disposition that made him a favorite at home and abroad. It seems hard that one so promising should be stricken down in a few hours from the activity of life to the stillness of death. But so it is.
