June 28, 1894The demise of Mrs. Rev. Nathan Potter, residing near Anamosa, took place last week Tuesday. Her funeral took place Thursday from the Antioch church in Jackson township, Jones county. Her remains, it is said, were followed by the largest funeral procession to the cemetery that ever took place in that locality. Mrs. Potter’s maiden name was Clementine DeMoss, daughter of the late Wm. DeMoss, of near Emeline Corners, where she formerly lived and was known and esteemed by a host of friends. Mr. Potter, her husband, is still living to mourn the loss of a good wife. She was a former resident of Monmouth and was highly respected and esteemed, not only by the writer but by her neighbors.
