Died.

BUTTOLPH – July 28, near Mill Rock, Jackson Co., Iowa, Mr. John D. Buttolph.

The deceased was born in Lower Canada in the year 1796, emigrated with his parents to Lawrence Co., N. Y., came to Iowa in 1864. Father Buttolph has been a devoted member of the M. E. Church for 32 years. His loss is deeply felt in his family and community. God’s word had said of such, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they rest from their labors.”
