Iowans Meet Death

Van Meter, Iowa, Nov. 223, - Peter Linneman 50, his son Elmer 30, and his daughter Esther 5, were instantly killed and his wife was seriously injured when an automobile in which they were riding was struck by a Rock Island passenger train eastbound at a grade crossing here today. Mrs. Linneman was taken to Des Moines for medical treatment.

Side curtains on the automobile are believe to have prevented Linneman who was driving from seeing the approaching train.

The Linnemans reside on a farm near here. They are reputed to be wealthy.
