George Wendell, of this city, received a telegram Sunday afternoon giving the sad news of the death of his brother, A. S. Wendell, of Sioux City, who passed away Sunday morning, after an illness of several months. Deceased was a former Jackson County man, having been raised on a farm east of town.
The funeral will be held this afternoon.
