Maquoketa Excelsior, September 5, 1867:

DIED

At her residence, in this city, on the 30th ult., after a brief illness, Mrs. F. Scarborough, aged 49 years and 3 months.
Mrs. Scarborough was born in Maysville, Kentucky, and emigrated to this State about the year 1844, settling in Maquoketa with her former husband, Mr. Corbin. A few years after the sad bereavement of his death she was married to Mr. F. Scarborough, both of whom were among the earliest settlers of Jackson County.
