Clarence F. Hodgin, aged 43 years, passed away at his home on Eliza Street, Sunday at 12:30 p.m., of cancer of the stomach. He leaves a mother, wife, daughter, two sisters and one brother. The funeral service will be held at the M.E.Church today(Wednesday), at 2:00 p.m., Rev. J.F.Black officiating, and in charge of the Masons, of whom he was a faithful member, and who proved their faithfulness to him in his long siege of suffering. Mr. Hodgin was for 15 years express manager on the Maquoketa-Davenport run. About a year ago his health began to fail and in spite of all efforts continued. In the latter part of June he gave up his position and went to Chicago and went through a surgical operation and after a few weeks returned home and continued to grow worse until the end came. The family and relatives have the sympathy of all.
