MILES — Teddy L. Mangler, 74, of Miles, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
He was born July 16, 1932, to Melvin L. and Margaret S. Krumvidi Mangler in Green Island. He married Adelle Bender and later married Carol Windchip. He then married Joy Todtz in August of 1969 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Clinton.
He graduated from Mason City High School and later studied theology in Waverly.
He served in the U.S. Army with the 6th Armor Division and was stationed at Fort Leonard, Mo. He also was stationed in Greenland for a period of time.
He worked in marketing and retail management in Clinton and Detroit for many years.
He was active in the Green Island Congregational Church.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Mangler of Tampa, Fla., and Bronson (Patricia) Mangler and Montgomery Mangler, both of Clinton; three brothers, Rance (Karen) Robinson of Clute, Texas, Wayne (Rita) Robinson of Green Island and Richard (Patricia) Robinson of Goose Lake; four sisters, Patricia Prechel of Elmore, Minn., Vickie (Carlye) Evers of Low Moor, Lou (Bill) Thompson of Yucca, Ariz., and Sue Hammond of Camanche; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice or Green Island Congregational Church in his name.
