MAQUOKETA — Galen R. Hunter, 61, of Maquoketa, died Thursday at Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa.

He was born March 10, 1945, in Cedar Rapids to Elmer E. and Mary L. Storm Hunter. He married Marcia Webber in Cedar Rapids.

He was educated in Midland schools.

He worked various jobs.

Survivors include his wife; mother, Mary L. Hunter of Monticello; brothers, Dean (Sue) Hunter of Cedar Rapids, Marvin Hunter of Martelle, Steven Hunter of Solon and Edwin Hunter of Minnesota; and sisters, Carol (Lloyd) Lorenzen of Center Junction, Karen (Dana) Picray of Hopkinton and Sharon (Mike) Boner of Westchester.

A Galen R. Hunter Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
