D.C. WHITNEY STRICKEN IN SABULA HOME

Sabula, Dec.8- (Special)—D.C. Whitney, Sabula’s second oldest resident and Cival War veteran, died at 4:30 o’clock this morning in the home of his Walter, after a short illness.

At the time of his death he was 92 years old, but despite his advanced age had been active up until a short time previous his death.

No funeral services have been arranged, as word is being awaited from his sons at St. Francisville, La.

Surviving are four sons, Walter of Sabula, David of Dubuque, and George and Joseph of St. Francisville, La. and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Whitney had been very interested in automobiles for the past 12 years and had gained quite a reputation for his driving activities.
