William Meyers
William D. Meyers, 66 a life time resident of Sabula , died Tuesday afternoon in Mercy Hospital of flu complication .
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St Peter Catholic Church i Sabula with the Rev William Greener officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. A military service will be conducted at the grave site.
Pallbearers will be Leon, Tom ,Joe, and Jack Pladna, Jerry Meyers and Martin Haley.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday night at the Allen-Law-Jones Funeral home in Sabula.
Mr Meyers was born Sept 16, 1908 , in Sabula, the son of Diedrick and Anna (Haley) Meyers. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs, Zita Rabenscraft of Muscatine, and Mrs Rosemary Kasinsky of Green River ,Ill., five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs Catherine Van Brocklin of Sabula. He was proceeded in death by one brother.
