Maquoketa, Iowa, Dec. 12- When Sherman Caven and his bride of Thanksgiving Day, Myrtle Clark Caven, read a newspaper dispatch which stated they had broken the state law regarding marriage contracts when they were married in Dubuque on a Jackson County license, they realized the Clerk was right when he advised them to correct the mistake. They hastened to Maquoketa at once and the ceremony was repeated, this time by Justice Frank McNear, of South Fork Township. The $100 fine was avoided, although the groom is out two marriage fees.
