Jackson County Men Inducted Into Service

Five Jackson County men were inducted into the armed forces on January 12, the selective services office here reports. They were Verne G. Miller, Jr. and Harlen J. Reyner, both of Maquoketa; Patrick W. O'Rourke, LaMotte; Robert H. Deppe, Bellevue; and Loras J. Ryan of Zwingle. Miller was a volunteer. The men were dispatched to Camp Chaffee, Arkansas from the Des Moines induction center for further processing and assignment.
