A Challenge To Debate

John M. Work will speak to the Socialist Party of Jackson County at Maquoketa on October 28. We hereby challenge any representative of the old parties to meet our speaker in joint debate on that occasion.

The Democratic party is making a strong bid for the support of the workers of Jackson County and we would be pleased to have them meet Mr. Work and explain to us wherein their platform is superior to our's or to the Republican's. The meeting will be held on Scholls corner if the weather is favorable, if not we will use the City Hall.
