SABULA-SAVANNA BRIDGE TO BE DEDICATED

Oliver Mattison, president of the Savanna-Sabula Bridge Company, of Minneapolis, announced that the trans-Mississippi bridge that connects Savanna, Illinois and Sabula, Iowa, will be dedicated December 9, 1932. Mattison explained that the complete laying of the floor of the slough bridge just north of Sabula, the finishing of the gravelling of the roadway between the large bridge and the smaller bridge, the placing of guard rails and rip-rapping was all yet to be done.

John Grandy, secretary of the Savanna-Sabula Bridge Company, announced the governors of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota and their respective governors-elect have been invited to the dedication as well as the highway commissioners of the states.

Schools will be closed so the students may join in the festivities. At news-reel movietone company is expected to be present to film the dedication ceremony.
