THE LAMOTTE ROBBERY-

We gave the particulars of a robbery at Lamotte last week, and stated that a young man named Chamberlain had been arrested. I appears he did not make an effort to escape, but remained in and about the village as usual. He was taken before a magistrate for preliminary examination, but on account of some informality in the information filed against him he was discharged from custody. Whatever the people of Lamotte may think of his guilt, there do not appear to be sufficient proofs to warrant his being held for trial.
