Clinton Herald, March 10, 1864

The first boat of the season, the Canada, passed up the river last Saturday evening, but encountering ice near Bellevue it returned the following day. The Henderson arrived here on Wednesday evening, bringing a large number of furloughed soldiers, and proceeded up the river. The excellent Northern Line packet, Davenport, passed up on Wednesday afternoon.
