Will Little, while enjoying a romp along the river north of Nashville last Sunday killed a giant rattlesnake which measured five feet one inch in length. In killing the reptile Will
struck the rattles, breaking off at least half of them, and is unable to tell the exact number worn by his lordship, but it is probable that sixteen would be a conservative guess. This is the first rattler that has been recorded so far this season.
