Iowa News, DuBuque, Wisconsin Territory, June 3,1837

The Board of Commissioners appointed to carry into effect the Act of Congress of the 3d March last, for laying off the towns of Mineral Point, DuBuque, Fort Madison, Burlington, Belleview and Peru, as soon as copies of the documents relative to the survey of Mineral Point are received from the Surveyor General's Office in Cincinnati, will commence the adjudication of pre-emption claims at Mineral Point. Arrangements have been made to proceed in the surveys of the towns on the west side of the Mississippi, without delay.
