Snakes In A Tree
Kimber Keeney informs the writer that as he and George Barrick were travelling on the public highway near the Mann's Ferry bridge they saw two large rattlesnakes perched in a large oak tree some 20 feet from the ground, which they managed to knock off with stones and kill. Each snake had seven rattles and a button. We never knew that a rattlesnake could climb a tree, but Mr. Keeney says if anyone disputes his story he can prove it by several witnesses.
