THE KEL VERDICT

The trial of Chris Eckerlebe at Clinton for the murder of Mina Keil last July ended yesterday and the case was given to the jury at 3:15. The jury was out one hour and forty minutes, bringing in a verdict of murder in the first degree, and recommending punishment by death. The attorneys for the defendant immediately filed a motion for a new trial, which will be argued Friday afternoon.
