Warranty Deed, filed for record the 31st day of October A.D. 1874, at 1 o’clock P.M. and recorded in Book H of Town Lots on Page 487, J. R. Griffin, Recorder, fee $.75 paid. Entered for taxation this 31st day of Oct. A.D. 1874, A. J. House, Auditor, Jno F. Ballard, Deputy.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS
That We John Wilcox & Mariah Wilcox, his wife of the County of Jackson, State of Iowa, in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by Jonas C. Wood, of Jackson County and State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said Jonas C. Wood, heirs and assigns, the following described premises, situate in Jackson County, and State of Iowa, to-wit:

The North half(1/2) of Lot Number Ten(10) in Block No. One(1) in Zook’s Addition to the Town of Baldwin, Jackson County, State of Iowa

To Have and To Hold the premises above described, with all the appurtances, unto the said Jonas C. Wood and his heirs and assigns forever.
And We do hereby covenant with the said Jonas C. Wood that we are lawfully seized of said premises, that they are free from incumbrance, that we have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same, and we do hereby covenant to Warrant And Defend the title to the said Real Estate and appurtances thereto belonging, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever: and Mariah Wilcox wife of John Wilcox hereby relinquishes all her right of Dower, and all her right under Homestead Laws of the State of Iowa in and to the above described premises.
