Man Killed By Train

The unknown man killed by a northbound freight train here last Thursday afternoon, was buried Friday afternoon in the city cemetery north of Bellevue. He may have been one William Esty, which name was found on a card in one of his pockets. Communication with a Chicago address also found failed to definitely identify the man.

Coroner Ristine of Maquoketa, held an inquest over the body at Kempter’s undertaking parlors Thursday evening, the verdict of the jury being as follows: “We find that deceased man came to his death by falling under a moving train.”
