TERRIBLE ACCIDENT

A terrible accident, resulting in the death of Mr. Nick Wivinis, a well known citizen of Baldwin, this county, occurred on Monday last. Mr. Wivinis was riding a race horse, and while passing at full speed under the railroad bridge which spans the roadway in that town, his horse suddenly swerved, causing him to strike one of the supporting timbers. He was hurled violently to the ground, and when picked up it was found that his skull was fractured and a number of his ribs broken. Death ensued in about an hour.
