Bellevue Herald: We are told that the Klondike lead diggings north of Bellevue has been abandoned. The lead has been worked by Messrs. Mace and Harry Farrell, and a few weeks ago the gentlemen thought they had struck it and was working the mine for all it was worth, but after taking out about 4000 pounds of galena they discovered they had only struck a pocket, and concluded to abandon the hole. They had dug down about 45 feet and drifted nearly 60 feet when they quit.
