Maquoketa Excelsior, January 13, 1893.
Mr. Orville M. Scott and Miss Anna Klema were married at the pleasant rooms above Mr. Banghart’s clothing store on Wednesday evening, January 11. The rooms and tables were suitably decorated with flowers and evergreens and presented a handsome appearance. At 8 p.m., as the Light Guard band played a wedding march, the groomsman and bridesmaid and bride and groom took their places beneath a beautifully decorated arch and Rev. Francis M. Archer solemnized the ceremony, pronouncing them one. After the happy couple had received many hearty congratulations a very delicious supper was served and sweet strains of music were rendered by the band and all pronounced it the happiest event of the season. The bride was beautifully attired and the groom wore his brightest smiles. They were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents.
