TREASURER BRYAN.

We understand that James A. Bryan, late treasurer of Jackson county, was indicted by the grand jury last week, and held to bail in the sum of twenty-thousand dollars for his appearance at the next term of the district court. This, we suppose, will, in time, unravel the mystery connected with the alleged robbery (or at least it is expected to) of the Jackson county safe. We hope so. We want all the particulars, we want the people to know them, and we want the guilty punished, whoever they may be or whatever position they may occupy. Let the whole career of Bryan and his confederates if say, be brought to light; let the investigation and trial be thorough, complete and positive, and let those engaged therein “how to the line, let the chips fall where they will.”
