The following list of names was handed to J. W. Ellis recently by persons who claim to know, as being the names of prominent members of the famous vigilance committee of 1857: Jacob Landis, H. K. Landis, John Star, Geo. Sherman, Wm. Bowling, H. Buchner, Allen Buchner, C. Barnhard, Jas. Green, Wm. Green, J. Clabaugh, L. L. Sawdy, J. Lashua, J. H. Said, John Hute, Ambrose Robbins, Wm.
